The Role: Supervisor - Supply Chain Repetitive MFG

Pay: $83,000-$90,000, annually

Location: Springfield, MO

CSI is looking for a qualified Supervisor – Supply Chain Repetitive Manufacturing to lead our planning team and support efficient, reliable production across our repetitive manufacturing operations. This role oversees production planning, shop scheduling, and material coordination to ensure jobs move through the manufacturing process in alignment with customer commitments, available capacity, and material readiness.

The Supervisor works closely with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, Project Management, Coordination, Inventory, Receiving, and Quality to anticipate constraints, resolve scheduling challenges, and maintain realistic production plans. This position also drives continuous improvement in planning processes, inventory management, and cross-departmental coordination, using Epicor as the system of record for planning and job information.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and Develop the Planning Team: Supervise, coach, and develop planners; assign responsibilities, balance workloads, establish performance expectations, maintain standard work and cross-training, and manage performance appraisals, timecards, and PTO in accordance with company policies.
  • Oversee Production Planning and Scheduling: Translate customer orders, forecasts, project requirements, and replenishment demand into production plans and schedules that support manufacturing capacity, customer priorities, and on-time delivery.
  • Manage Schedule Execution and Recovery: Monitor schedule adherence, work in process, overdue jobs, bottlenecks, and completion dates. Identify the impact of demand changes, engineering revisions, material shortages, quality holds, and capacity constraints, coordinating corrective actions and communicating delivery risks.
  • Coordinate Material Planning and Purchasing: Oversee MRP reviews, validate material requirements and need dates, and partner with Purchasing and suppliers to coordinate purchase orders, delivery schedules, phased shipments, and just-in-time material availability while balancing lead times, supply risks, and inventory levels.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Project Management, Coordination, Inventory, Receiving, and Quality to confirm production capacity, job readiness, material availability, engineering requirements, and customer delivery commitments.
  • Maintain ERP Accuracy and Planning Visibility: Ensure Epicor planning and job information—including dates, quantities, status, and documented changes—is accurate and current. Partner with Business Systems and appropriate data owners to resolve system issues, support improvements, and maintain reliable planning information.
  • Improve Processes and Operational Performance: Identify opportunities to reduce material shortages, unnecessary expediting, excess inventory, work in process, and manual workarounds. Promote consistent processes, clear communication, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout CSI.
