Keep production moving. Solve problems. Stay ahead of shortages.
This role sits right in the middle of production.
You’re the person making sure materials are where they need to be, when they need to be there and fix it fast when they’re not. You’ll work across purchasing, production, engineering, and the warehouse to keep jobs on track and the system accurate.
If you like staying organized, digging into problems, and being the one people rely on to keep things moving, this role fits.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Monitor production jobs and make sure materials are ready to go
• Identify shortages and take action—transfers, purchase orders, expediting
• Work with Purchasing and suppliers to keep materials on time
• Create and manage jobs in the ERP system
• Keep material, labor, and job data accurate and up to date
• Track open purchase orders and follow up on delays
• Support production by communicating material status and risks
• Help resolve discrepancies—materials, documentation, system issues
• Maintain bills of materials and process engineering changes
• Ensure traceability and documentation are complete and accurate
• Support inventory accuracy and help resolve variances
This is a fast-moving role where priorities shift—you’ll need to stay on top of it.
What You’ll Gain
• Real experience in materials, production, and supply chain operations
• A strong understanding of how manufacturing actually works
• Exposure to ERP systems, planning, and purchasing coordination
• A role where your work directly impacts production performance
Who This Is For
You don’t need to know everything—but you do need the right mindset.
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Comfortable juggling multiple priorities
• Problem-solver who doesn’t wait to be told what to do
• Clear communicator across teams
• Able to stay calm when things get busy
• Willing to learn and improve
Experience
• 1–2 years in manufacturing, materials, supply chain, or purchasing
• ERP/MRP system experience (Epicor is a plus)
• Familiarity with BOMs, routings, or material planning is helpful
• Intermediate Excel skills (lookups, pivots, basic analysis)
