Associate Project Manager

Location: Springfield, MO

Associate Project Managers at CSI collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure their visions become a reality. Each project is unique and provides opportunities to offer both technical and commercial support. All aspects of project management that occur throughout a project life-cycle are associated with this position. Key responsibilities include promotion of CSI's products and services, sales, design, cost proposals and production of both shop-fabricated and field-installed projects.

A successful Associate Project Manager must be creative, disciplined, demonstrate initiative, have a broad understanding of specific aspects of manufacturing processes, and remain persistent in the development of innovative solutions. Under limited supervision, an ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a high-volume and fast-paced environment is a must.

Salary: $40K - $60K annually

Primary Functions (not an all inclusive list):

• Assisting Project Managers with duties required for successful completion of projects. This includes strengthening relationships with customers as we move forward on projects to meet their goals.
• Provide quotes or proposals to customers. (Equipment, or Systems)
• Respond to customer requests for information
• Maintain all customer and prospect accounts and contacts in CSI’s CRM software per training and published procedures.
• Follow-up with customer after project is completed for feedback on satisfaction
• Follow-up on quotes and proposals
• Update customers regarding current projects
• Provide design assistance pertaining to possible manufacturing services
• Assist in the approval invoices that are directly related to projects
• Be involved and curious with the design of process piping systems with the aid of the Process Engineering and Project Management Groups
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of Microsoft Project Gantt charts for multiple projects
• Define scope and bill of materials for projects
• Assist in the development of a concise design and scope package at the beginning of execution phase of projects.
• Compare actual data with forecast data after jobs are completed to improve quoting accuracy and techniques
• Track and control project cost and schedule

Required Skills:

Education/Training

  • Associates Degree, required
  • Technical emphasis, preferred
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred

Experience

  • Sanitary Process Piping experience, recommended
  • 2+ years of job-shop manufacturing experience, recommended
  • 2+ years of design/estimating experience of custom manufactured components, recommended


Skills:

  • Expert in Microsoft Explorer, required
  • Intermediate in Microsoft Excel, required
  • proficient in Microsoft Word, required
