CNC Machinist 1

Location: Springfield, MO

Job Description:

Do you have CNC machining skills? Do you like fabrication work that requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail? Do you thrive in an environment dedicated to personal self-improvement, ongoing customer satisfaction, and a healthy dose of fun? If so, we want you on our team!

CSI is looking to hire a focused and detailed individual — who takes great pride in their craftsmanship — for the CNC Machinist position. You will be primarily responsible for operating a CNC Lathe and CNC Mill for machining of components. While the primary business centers around 300 series stainless steel and higher nickel alloys, the opportunity for working with other alloys will arise.

You’ll need to be effective at using measuring devices like calipers, dial indicators, micrometers, and portable surface roughness gages — you know, typical items found in any toolbox. If you’re ready for your next challenge, apply today!

Salary is commensurate with skill and experience.

Standard workday for this role is Monday through Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. It is generally expected that a machinist will be required to work on average 45 hours during the normal workweek. However, due to the sporadic nature of our production requirements, work hours may be increased or decreased throughout the normal workweek to correspond with the man-hour capacity required. The potential for additional overtime hours on Saturday and/or Sunday may be requested or required at times. No overtime is guaranteed.

Machining positions require constant bending, kneeling, and stooping. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 75 pounds with assistance. Visual acuity is required to perform work using close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee may be exposed to environmental factors typical of polishing and grinding. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, such as gloves, safety glasses and steel toe shoes.
