Drafter/Designer II

Location: Springfield, MO

Job Description:

Are you a mechanical designer that loves solving puzzles — taking a complex idea from a customer and crafting a unique solution for their need? Do you enjoy working within standard manufacturing styles and methods, while also having the freedom to develop new and innovative solutions? If so, we want you on our team!

CSI is looking to hire a disciplined and innovative individual for the Drafter/Designer II position.

This position is focused on leading the design of mid-sized “ETO” fabricated equipment typically ranging from $100K - $1 million. A broad understanding of CSI’s design and manufacturing capabilities is critical in the efficient execution of equipment that falls into this category. This means the person will extract all required information, analyze this data and heavily rely on knowledge gained about that equipment to generate an efficient and effective design that meet the customer and CSI’s needs.

This position will require prioritization of multiple projects of differing types of equipment at one time. In addition to organization of all project information related to the design and schedule, completion of personal and departmental task will be required.

It is the Drafter/Designer II responsibility to communicate design intent effectively to all parties involved in meetings, model presentations, and by means of quality detailed manufacturing drawings.
