Job Description:
The Manager – Procurement & Inventory is responsible for overseeing all procurement activities and inventory management. The role leads a team to understand the business needs and business relationships in play when we interact with suppliers. The team will understand the internal business processes which are being supported. The team will have well defined capabilities at different levels. Tools such as pricing agreements and ERP data will be used effectively as the team effectively and efficiently keeps the flow of needed goods and services coming into CSI. The team will be an effective custodian of supplier relationships which serve to grant best terms, best service, and general favor to CSI.
Key responsibilities include leading strategic procurement initiatives, managing supplier negotiations, maintaining supplier partnerships, and ensuring competitive pricing and favorable terms. Additionally, the role evaluates and implements inventory management and planning strategies that maximize efficient fulfillment, drive customer value, and enhance overall organizational responsiveness. This role proactively manages risks and maintains a forward-focused perspective to ensure staffing and resources are aligned with future demand while optimizing daily operational efficiency. This role ensures appropriate inventory levels are maintained for both stocked items and direct-to-job purchases.

Standard workday is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Overnight travel and/or extended hours may be required as well as some Saturday hours. More than 40 hours per week will normally be required in order to achieve the productivity necessary for this position.
This position requires the ability to interact with employees verbally and in writing, remain in a stationary position for 80% of the workday, have close visual acuity, and constantly operate a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as a phone, copy/fax/scan machine, computer keyboard and mouse with or without reasonable accommodation. This position also requires the ability to occasionally lift, stoop, bend, and lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
