Pump Specialist

Location: Springfield, MO

CSI provides hygienic pumps, valves, fittings, and heat exchangers to industrial companies and industrial service providers. We are searching for a qualified candidate that has the ability and passionate commitment to collaborate with Business Development Leaders in their roles in order to ensure our customers’ satisfaction throughout the sales cycle. The position’s tasks vary, but primary focus is on customer requests for information, quoting, technical solutions, and order management.

What are we looking for?

Knowledge of Pumps and Motors, preferred
Experience with industrial products or machines, preferred.
Experience with stainless steel, sheet metal, or food processing equipment a plus.
Strong English for both written and oral communication abilities are a must.
Ability to work on multiple tasks with little supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Initiative to perform duties beyond assignment-specific responsibilities.
What will you be doing here?

Primary Functions
• Provide quotes or proposals to customers.
• Update customers regarding current projects
• Size and specify pumps based on product/process conditions provided
• Create pump quotes for new and existing customers per standard daily
• Provide pump based technical assistance to internal and external customers
• Submit cut sheets and approval drawings to customer for approval when needed
• Create bills of material as needed for pump assemblies
• Start, continue, and complete workflow tasks per process and within same business day
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and/or evaluate returned product
• Assist in the evaluation of customer’s warranty claims
• Execute proper review and updates of the open order report, including communication for internal and external customers, daily
• Support sales efforts through questioning and qualifying the prospect, daily
• Ensure proper handling of return goods
• Communicate with vendors to purchase and expedite drop ship goods
• Review open order report to ensure proper closure, daily
• Set up new customer accounts
• Coordinate any special logistic needs as required by customer
• Build positive relationships with others and maintain a positive I-10 approach.
• Promote safety as an important part of CSI’s culture and ensure safety policies and procedures are followed by all employees, including SOPs for safety and cyber security
Start, continue, and complete workflow tasks per process and within same business day.


Salary: $22 - $25 an hour

Education/Training:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required


Experience:

  • Sanitary pump and valve knowledge, desired
  • Three to five years pump repair, preferred
  • Extensive mechanical experience, preferred
  • Experience in technical problem solving and troubleshooting, preferred

It is generally expected that an applications team member will work an average of 45 hours during a normal work week. However, due to the sporadic nature of our production requirements, work hours may be increased or decreased throughout the normal work week to correspond with the man-hour capacity required. No overtime is guaranteed.

This position requires the ability to interact with employees verbally and in writing, remain in a stationary position for 80% of the workday, have close visual acuity, and constantly operate a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as a phone, copy/fax/scan machine, computer keyboard and mouse with or without reasonable accommodation. This position also requires the ability to occasionally lift, stoop, bend, and lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
