CSI is looking to hire an Installation Services Project Estimator with strong organization and people skills. You will be responsible for developing estimates and quotations for food process piping projects. This includes understanding scope and design, and providing assistance and support for our project managers and field installation crews. You will provide quotes and proposal packages for installations, equipment, and systems to CSI customers. Ongoing support for internal and external customers — including answering questions, providing feedback, and following up to ensure satisfaction — will be a large aspect of this role.
As a Project Estimator at CSI, you will play a vital role in securing future work for the company and ensuring successful project execution. You will produce insightful information that enables our project management team and skilled craftsmen to deliver quality systems to our customers, achieving or even beating schedule and cost targets. Your primary responsibility is to accurately estimate the cost of materials and labor required to install process piping in a food processing environment. This is done through reviewing, interpreting, and understanding plans, specifications, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and other relevant documents to determine the scope of work of the project. Other responsibilities may include assisting project managers with bills of materials, budgeting, and sequencing work activities for both potential and awarded projects. You will need the ability to manage multiple projects at once, while ensuring timely and accurate execution. Additionally, you will visit customer facilities to assist in determining precise cost estimates for total project values and any necessary change orders.
A successful Installation Services Project Estimator must have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. In addition, this position requires excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills for corresponding with co-workers as well as external customers and vendors
